Russian Scientific and Technological Cooperation Organization China Tour (Shenzhen) of the 18th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals Guest of Honor (Russia) Serial Activities Satisfactorily Completed

From December 2 to 5, 2019, the Russian Scientific and Technological Cooperation Organization China Tour (Shenzhen) of the 18th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals Guest of Honor (Russia) Serial Activities was successfully organized by the Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel under the sponsorship of the Chinese Embassy in Russia and the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality.

Taking the opportunity of holding the “Sino-Russian Scientific and Technological Innovation Year” event in both China and Russia and holding the 18th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals Guest of Honor (Russia) Serial Activities, this event aims to extend the deep friendship between China and Russia, expand practical cooperation and further enhance the common interest bond of scientific & technological innovation and personnel exchange. Nine representatives from Russia-based international cooperation institutions including the Russian International Science and Technology Cooperation Association attended the event.

On the afternoon of December 4, Russian representatives and leaders of the Science and Technology Division of Chinese Embassy in Russia, the Department of Foreign Expert Services of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China International Talent Exchange Center, the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, the Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel, as well as heads and representatives of district-based science & technology competent authorities, relevant enterprises, universities and scientific research institutions held symposium at the Shenzhen Citizen Center.

Zhang Tian, Second Secretary of the Science and Technology Division of Chinese Embassy in Russia, highlighted that, as the first themed national year event since the launch of new era of China-Russia relation, the “Sino-Russian Scientific and Technological Innovation Year” implies the determined national commitment to developing China-Russia science and technology innovation cooperation. As a matter of fact, science and technology innovation cooperation not only serves as an approach to supporting economic development, but also comes as a significant part of great power diplomacy. At the 18th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals, the opening ceremony of the “Sino-Russian Scientific and Technological Innovation Year” will be held, facilitating wider and greater science and technology cooperation at a higher level. With a focus on the power of social institutions, we should fully exert their lever, amplifier and accelerator effects, thus providing strong support for future cooperation.
