The Notice of the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality (Shenzhen Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs) on Recommending Interviewees for the Series of Activities “Witness Shenzhen’s 40-Year-Long History · Shenzhen in Foreigners’ Eyes”

2020 is the year for China to secure a decisive victory in the completion of the process of building a moderately well-off society and poverty alleviation, also the 40th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and the key year for the all-round development and in-depth promotion of the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the demonstration pilot zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics. As a city with reform and opening-up DNA in its blood, Shenzhen was born for reform and opening and has become a miracle in urban development history worldwide due to the reform and opening-up policy. Therefore, it is one of the primary choices for global innovation, investment and development, and has gathered a batch of foreign talents in different fields.
It is known that talents are the key to national governance and social prosperity. The 40-year-long development history of Shenzhen is also the growth history of Shenzhen’s talents. Standing at the bright starting point of the new journey, the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality and sznews.com jointly hold the series of interview activities “Witness Shenzhen’s 40-Year-Long History • Shenzhen in Foreigners’ Eyes”, and will select 40 foreign talent representatives in the field of science and technology, finance, health, education, humanities and etc., to tell their stories of witnessing, joining and promoting the development and reform of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in the past 40 years, or depict the past and present of Shenzhen with words and images, crowning the 40th anniversary of the construction of the Special Economic Zone and providing suggestions for the future development of Shenzhen.
