“Overseas Talents to Visit China - Hubei Information Technology Session” of the 20th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals Successfully Held in Wuhan City

The “Overseas Talents to Visit China - Hubei Information Technology Session” of the 20th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals co-hosted by China Association for International Exchange of Personnel and Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Cooperation Center with Foreign Countries, and jointly organized by Hubei Association for International Exchange of Personnel, the National Engineering Research Center for Laser Processing of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hubei Laser Society, Wuhan Laser Association of Optics Valley of China and Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel was successfully held in Wuhan City, Hubei Province on the afternoon of June 23, 2022. Qin Tao, Deputy Director of China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, and Zhang Xiao, Director of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Cooperation Center with Foreign Countries, and Vice President and Secretary-General of Hubei Association for International Exchange of Personnel, attended the Session and delivered a welcome speech respectively online and offline. The Session was presided over by Li Zhengyan, Professor from the School of Optical and Electronic Information, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Secretary-General of Hubei Laser Society.

Qin Tao said that China had persistently been placing high value on multi-level and wide-ranging exchange and cooperation in science and technology with all countries in the world, constantly expanding new space for non-governmental cooperation in this regard, with a view to jointly boosting basic researches, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, giving fresh impetus to economic development, strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights and building a first-class innovation ecosystem. In the case of Hubei Province, the foreign (overseas) resources in scientific and technological innovation could be introduced through the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in light of local actual demands by inviting foreign (overseas) experts for field visits, exchanges and guidance to positively explore the frontiers of basic theories of science, promote pragmatic cooperation and jointly create more fresh impetus to development.

Zhang Xiao said that Hubei Province boasted strong scientific and technological strength and a complete range of industries, laying a good foundation for cooperation. With focus on the key industries within the Province, developing diversified matchmaking and exchange by relying on the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals pooling the world’s intellectual resources was an important way for talent innovation services. In the future, the Province would keep building talent exchange and innovation service platforms to play a bigger role in the scientific and technological innovation and talent development by injecting more strong impetus to this undertaking.

The Session invited experts from Slovenia, Estonia, Hungary, etc. to promote online 4 cooperation projects, who also had exchanges with experts and representatives from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Central China Normal University, Hubei University of Technology, Wuhan Huaray Precision Laser Co., Ltd., Wuhan Jingce Electronic Group Co., Ltd., VOYAH Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., Haiju Technology Investment Co., Ltd., etc. For some projects, preliminary intention had been reached and in-depth exchanges on cooperation would be conducted.
