Stabilize Economy, Promote Employment, and Introduce Talents --The 14th Job Fair for Returnees Successfully Held

For the purpose of implementing the mission of “attracting investment and talents” given by Municipal Committee and Municipal People's Government and accelerating the construction of high-caliber talent hub of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as the 6th “Talent Day” of Shenzhen was approaching, the 14th Job Fair for Returnees of 2022 sponsored by Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and organized by Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel, Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Returnees Association, and JOBS Haigui was successfully held on October 30 in Shenzhen. 


This event consisted of the Job Fair for Returnees and the Returnees Career Planning and Development Forum. The event focused on establishing a talent attracting service platform for returnees and famous enterprises, encouraging, guiding, and helping outstanding returnees to work and develop in Shenzhen. The Job Fair covered an area of 6,000 square meters. Nearly 100 famous domestic and foreign enterprises were invited to the Fair, most of which were sci-tech and innovative enterprises, covering such fields as semi-conductor, integrated circuit, computer, new energy, and biological medicine. Particularly, some enterprises founded by returnees, such as Appotronics, Zhenghao EcoFlow, Haplox, Dorabot, and Semacare, attracted large numbers of high-tech talents. The Job Fair provided more than 2,000 quality jobs and attracted over 3,300 job hunters, over 90% of which had master or doctoral degrees.

The principals of TCL CSOT, Shenzhen Institute of Computing Sciences, Haplox, etc. said that their development calls for more international talents and to attract them, they will implement various benefit measures and provide competitive salaries. The HR personnel of Zhenghao EcoFlow said they received over 100 resumes at the Fair, and the candidates were excellent and largely suitable for the jobs, meanwhile expressing their wish for more similar events to help enterprises find more talents. According to the HR personnel of Appotronics, their current talent demand mainly focuses on technology, marketing, and supply chain, and they were satisfied with the event today where they found many high-quality talents. 

The Forum for Returnees


In order to help returnees further understand the domestic situation and enterprise demand, a career planning and development forum for returnees was held at the same time, where HR personnel from famous enterprises shared career planning ideas with the returnees to help them with job hunting. 

According to the latest statistics, so far Shenzhen has attracted more than 190,000 returnees to start businesses in this city. According to a principal of the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, all human resources and social security authorities in Shenzhen will keep focusing on the national strategies of building Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen Pilot Demonstration Area, and high-caliber talent hub, aiming to optimize talent service for enterprises, actively establish face-to-face exchange platforms for employers and returnees, and provide convenient human resources service to promote two-way selection and amplify the achievements of “investment and talent attracting”.
