A Cultural Feast for All The Foreign Experts’ Tour in Guanlan Print Art Village under the Event of “The Brilliant Charm of Longhua, the Sci-Tech Innovation of Shenzhen”

On June 2, 2023, the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality (Shenzhen Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs), Longhua District People’s Government and Shenzhen People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries jointly launched the Foreign Experts’ Tour in Guanlan Print Art Village under the event of “The Brilliant Charm of Longhua, the Sci-Tech Innovation of Shenzhen”. The foreign experts were steeped in the artistic atmosphere of Longhua District, together with peers from the United States, Brazil, Russia, and other countries, who currently work in Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, Shenzhen University, etc.

During the tour in Guanlan Print Art Village, the foreign experts marveled at the abundant artistic resources and brilliant print art research achievements through the international print art communication. They not only appreciated the exquisite skills of artists with diverse cultural backgrounds, but also explored the splendid world in the kaleidoscopic context of print art. By experiencing DIY print, foreign experts immersed themselves in the great beauty of print art, while producing their own unique print artworks. 

Chen Ying, Director of Foreign Expert and Talents Service Division of Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, expressed the sincere welcome to the participating experts, she pointed out that, the achievements and development of Shenzhen today cannot be achieved without the foreign experts’ valuable contributions to the growth of sci-tech innovation. She sincerely hopes that the foreign talents will continue to support the development of Shenzhen. The related authorities will continue to provide better services and build broader platforms for communication and cooperation, enabling the foreign talents to connect with like-minded peers, forge friendship and benefit from attentive service in Shenzhen. According to Du Xin, the Associate Researcher of Longhua District Science, Technology and Innovation Bureau, the Foreign Experts’ Tour in Guanlan Print Art Village is aimed for foreign experts to enjoy the idyllic scenery, appreciate masterpieces by famous artists, learn about the archaic and fascinating woodcutting processto take a closer look at the excellent traditional Chinese culture and savor the fantastic beauty of ingenuity and inventiveness of print art. Zhou Jianxiong, Director of the General Work Division, Shenzhen People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, shared the vision on foreign experts to share with their hometown the positive, inclusive and open features towards international exchange and cooperation of Shenzhen, and serve as non-governmental ambassadors to promote mutual exchange and cooperation between Shenzhen and their countries and cities to enhance the mutual understanding and friendship. Shenzhen People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries will also strive to provide assistance and convenience for every foreign experts.
