A New Chapter for China-Russia Science and Technology Exchange The 2024 Exploration Tour in Shenzhen Successfully Concludes
Marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), together with the Russia-China Association for Promotion of Humanities, Science and Technology, initiated the 2024 Exploration Tour which comprises a series of study tours. The Shenzhen tour, held from May 24 to 25, was successfully concluded under the organization of the Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel (SCIEP). This event gathered 18 Russian experts and scholars from renowned research institutions and science and technology companies, including Academician A.L.Mints Radio Engineering Institute, KAMAZ, Novolipetsk Steel Company, VSMPO-AVISMA, and International Center for Quantum Optics and Quantum Technologies, to discuss the integration of science, technology and humanities.
During the two-day event, the Russian delegates visited several top research institutions and high-tech enterprises, including DJI Technology, Shenzhen innoX Academy, Shenzhen Hynovation Technologies Co., Ltd., BYD Automobile, and CIOT. They engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on a wide range of topics, including hydrogen energy innovation and industrial applications, enterprise innovation management, UAV and the low-altitude economy, as well as the deployment of robotics applications.
The Russian delegates departed from Moscow on May 19, visited Shanghai, Ningbo, Hangzhou and Guangzhou, among other cities, and eventually arrived in Shenzhen. This Exploration Tour, spanning thousands of kilometers, not only enhanced mutual understanding between China and Russia in science and technology field, but also provided valuable opportunities for future cooperation.
Under the framework of the Belt and Road Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Action Plan, China and Russia are promoting deep integration of science, technology and humanities through joint laboratory construction, science and technology park cooperation, and technology transfer. The successful holding of the 2024 Exploration Tour has undoubtedly brought new vitality into the science, technology and humanities cooperation between the two countries, and contributed Chinese and Russian wisdom and strength to the global science and technology progress and cultural exchanges.
