Hunan-Hubei Visits for International Young Sci-Tech Professionals Conclude with Profound Results
During July 1-5, the International Young Sci-Tech Professionals Exchange and Visit Tour, hosted by the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel(CAIEP), the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province, and the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province; organized by the Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel(SCIEP), Hubei Foreign Science and Technology Exchange Center, and Talent Cooperation Center of the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province; and co-organized by the China-Europe Green Technology Industry Alliance, concluded with profound results. Aimed at promoting international exchange and cooperation among sci-tech professionals and driving the development of sci-tech innovation, this tour attracted 16 guests of overseas young sci-tech professionals from countries and regions including the UK, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Australia.
During the visit in Hunan, the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province briefed the delegation on Hunan's scientific and technological innovation cooperation as well as international talent exchange situation. Members of the China-Europe Green Technology Industry Alliance shared related information and conducted exchanges with 10 key universities, research institutions, and innovative enterprises, focusing on discipline construction, research strengths, talent introduction and cultivation.During the visit in Hubei, the delegation attended the 2025 Hubei International Technology Exchange Conference, having discussions with the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province and 14 key universities and research institutions regarding Hubei's scientific research achievement transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship environment, and talent introduction policies, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Hubei's comprehensive strength in scientific research innovation and talent cultivation. Throughout the tour, the delegation members conducted on-site visits to local institutions in both Hunan Province and Hubei Province.
Taking the development of Hunan and Hubei as microcosms, this tour has built a vital platform through on-site visits and interactive exchanges, enabling overseas students to gain in-depth insights into regional sci-tech innovation environment, industrial development advantages, and talent cultivation policies in China, laying a solid foundation for international young sci-tech professionals to come to (or return to) China for further cooperation.
