Through diverse formats including policy interpretation, practice sharing, and panel discussion, the seminar facilitated in-depth dialogues on new pathways for sci-tech collaboration in the Asia-Pacific region, and explored opportunities for advancing open innovation. This two-day event invited government representatives, scholars from universities and research institutions, and NGO researchers from ten economies, including China, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Peru, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. As China is set to host the 2026 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, this seminar served as a platform to showcase China’s sci-tech innovation policies and international cooperation practices to APEC members, thereby promoting open innovation and collaboration among Asia-Pacific economies.
