Wenzhou Institute, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (WIUCAS) was established in May 2019.The institute focuses on translating foundational scientific innovation into technological outcomes,with key research areas including medical biomaterials, intelligent medical devices,biomedical physics,translational medicine,and precision medicine—fields with significant clinical application potential.WIUCAS aims to build a world-class integrated innovation center for materials,drugs,devices,and medicine,and a center for transfer and commercialization of scientific and technological results.The institute is supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences system and a national postdoctoral research station,offering well-developed research platforms and a strong international collaborative environment.
Ⅱ.Principal Investigator
Professor Eric Westhof is an internationally renowned RNA structural biologist, a member of both the French and German national academies of sciences,and President of the cercle Gutenberg (whose three vice-presidents are Nobel laureates).He is also a member of EMBO and the Association of French and Chinese experts, and formerly served as Vice President of the University of Strasbourg. Prof. Westhof has made pioneering contributions to RNA threedimensional structure,molecular recognition, and bioinformatics,with work that has had profound international impact.According to ScholarGPS 2025 rankings（https://scholargps.com/highly-ranked-scholars?year=2025&specialty=RNA）,he is ranked 5th globally in the RNA field.

RNA 3D structure modeling and prediction
Structure–function relationships of RNA

Ⅳ.Position Information
Title: Postdoctoral Researcher
Location: Wenzhou Institute, CAS
Appointment: 2–3 years
Annual Salary:
RMB 300,000+research bonuses+social insurance and housing fund
Relocation Allowance: RMB 20,000
Local Retention Incentive:

PhD awarded or expected soon in molecular biology,chemical biology, RNA bioinformatics or structural biology
Computational skills and some background in research related to RNA biology
Strong research motivation, ability to work independently,and good English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (any of the following)
Experience in RNA or nucleic acid structural research
Background in molecular modeling/computational biology
Proficiency in using AI tools
